On Sunday, 19 October, the Muriwai Half Marathon was everything we love about this community, sunshine, energy and purpose. C3 Construction was proud to sponsor the 7 km Fun Run/Walk, an event that brought people together for fitness, friendship and a great local cause.
This year’s run supported the Muriwai Environment Trust (MET), which is working to bring kiwi back to Goldies Bush Reserve, just up the road from our neighbourhood. The Trust’s predator-free and habitat-restoration initiatives are helping ensure that future generations will once again hear the kiwi call echo through the forest.
The event was full of positive spirit, families, first-timers and seasoned runners all sharing the trail through Muriwai’s beautiful bush and coastline. For us at C3, supporting this effort goes beyond sponsorship. As our co-founder Tamati Parker shared:
“At C3, we build more than structures , we build futures. Helping bring kiwi home is part of that.”
We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success , organisers, volunteers and participants alike. It’s an honour to stand alongside a community that cares so deeply for the environment we all share.
