Haukore Street Townhouses

The Haukore street project was the construction of 10 standalone multistorey townhouses for Kianga Ora. The buildings have the unique blend of materials and colours associated with KO homes, very eye catching. The materials used for the interiors are simple but the design is very robust. The KO specification is generally more belts and braces then a traditional group home build.

This particular site had a lot of ‘discoveries’ during the civil stages, including locating contaminated soil, soft spots and even two buried cars. The contamination issue raised some extra work with BOP Regional Council and the client but the team navigated this well.

The project was completed under budget and a month ahead of programme. The client is very happy with the quality and have started moving the tenants in.
